A friend told me that if I don’t lose the pregnancy weight within the 1st year, that I’ll NEVER (insert maniacal laugh and thunder) lose it. Well, maybe not “never” but it will be even HARDER!!! (insert more maniacal laughter & thunder!)
I also realized that I might have a sugar addiction. This realization came slightly after my Gringo Churros post a few days ago, after I had finished a half a bag of large burrito sized tortillas into Gringo Churros….something about salty butter with sugar and hot soft dough that really gets me happy…
And, since my holidays are over (cya next year Hanukah and your fattening awesome latkes (with sugar and cinnamon)!) AND I live a boring existence, I figured why not start my diet + post-pregnancy weight loss a few days prior to New Years. In years past I typically wait for the NYE hangover to subside before making such big proclamations, but since I’m a mom now, I rarely, if ever, drink. I’ll take a few sips here and there, sure, but an actual full drink? Ha!
And I’m going to try and tackle my sugar addiction with this diet thing, too. It Should be easier now that I have a real kitchen and my stress levels are much, much lower (no bf drama, no grandparent drama, no home-buying-relocating drama etc…) Besides, I really truly miss all my old clothes, an entire wardrobe, waiting for me in a huge suitcase in the garage.
And it’s gotta happen sooner or later, so why not sooner?
